Founded in 1941, the HBAMT is an affiliate of the
National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
A voluntary non-profit trade association, HBAMT is
dedicated to promoting the American dream of
homeownership in Middle Tennessee through
affordable, quality housing. Why Our Members Join:
Respect and Recognition
Membership in the HBAMT offers you an
opportunity to gain recognition in your community
as well as the respect of your industry colleagues.
Workers Comp Insurance
HBAMT members are eligible for a unique workers
compensation program which enables you to level
costs previously unavailable through traditional
insurance means. In fact, most participants have
actually enjoyed more savings than the cost of
membership dues.
Representation
As your advocate in Middle Tennessee and on
Capitol Hill, the Association constantly develops
positive legislation for the home building industry
by providing technical assistance and expert
testimony to our lawmakers. HBAMT continuously
monitors regulatory agencies such
as EPA, OSHA
and local building codes departments to testify on
behalf of the
building
industry and keeps members
informed.
Networking
At HBAMT's monthly meetings, you will have the
opportunity to meet new business
contacts and
share ideas and information with fellow builders
and associates.
You'll find
the contacts you make
at Association functions to be invaluable to your
business.
Special Resources
Your annual HBAMT dues automatically enroll you
as a member of the HBA of
Tennessee (HBAT) and
the National Association of Home Builders NAHB).
In
addition to
NAHB on the Internet, updates from
the Housing Research Center and articles in
Builder
magazine and The Nail keep you ahead of the game
on the latest housing industry
issues.
Friendship and Fun
You'll enjoy meeting people and making new friends
at many of our social events
including the annual
Golf and Fishing Tournaments. HBAMT schedules
many
year-round
social events designed for fun and
relaxation.
Promoting the Industry
HBAMT puts the industry's best foot forward with
projects like the Southern
Showcase of
New
Homes, Homearama, the Parade of Homes and the
Annual Home Show. Our
association is equally
proud that each of our terrific events gives back to
the
community
through charities such as Habitat
for Humanity, Kids on the Block and the
Tennessee
Special Olympics.
